Detailed Itinerary

Pick-up (around 9:00 AM) Your guide collects you from your hotel in Moshi and gives a short briefing on the day.

Town centre and landmarks (about 45 minutes) Start with a stroll through the centre, with stops at key landmarks. Your guide explains how Moshi grew as a trading and coffee town and why it became a base for Kilimanjaro climbs.

Central market (about 1 hour) This is the heart of the tour. Walk the stalls of fruit, vegetables, spices, grains, fabrics and household goods. Your guide helps you bargain politely, identify unfamiliar produce and sample local snacks.

Coffee and culture stop (about 45 minutes) Learn how coffee shaped the region and taste a cup of fresh Kilimanjaro coffee at a local cafe or cooperative site.

Local food stop (about 30 to 45 minutes) Try a local snack or light meal, such as grilled corn, mandazi, chapati, samosas, fresh juice or a plate of local stew. Vegetarian options are available on request.

Crafts and souvenirs [optional, about 30 minutes] Visit local artisans and shops for carvings, fabrics, coffee and spices, with no pressure to buy.

Drop-off Return to your hotel by early afternoon (around 1:00 to 2:00 PM).
